Liverpool Tutor Company is part of the MME group which has been selected as a  DfE-Approved tuition provider for the National Tutoring Programme. Only schools are eligible to apply for this funded course meaning if you are a parent and believe your child needs some extra support we advise that you speak directly to their subject teacher or the school. MME offers NTP tutoring for all of the core subjects which is currently aimed at students who are preparing for their GCSEs’.

Due to the pandemic, the UK government developed the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) in 2020. The programme intends to offer additional support to schools and students who might’ve fallen behind in their academics.

Depending on their size and the degree of need of their students, schools’ access to funding varies. Schools can apply for funding through the NTP website, and the funding is paid directly to the approved tutoring organisations or graduate employers that are providing the support.

The NTP makes a difference by providing high-quality, targeted assistance to students who require it the most. By offering extra tuition and mentoring, the programme can help pupils catch up on missed learning, improve their confidence and motivation, and ultimately improve their academic outcomes. This can help to close the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers, and ensure that all pupils have an equal opportunity to succeed.

To enrol in the NTP, schools need to register their interest on the NTP website. Once registered, schools can access a range of approved tutoring organisations and academic mentor employers, and apply for subsidised tuition and mentoring support.
