At the Liverpool Tutor Company, we give students the assistance they require for their future careers. How to achieve a maths GCSE quickly is a query we frequently get from many people. The assumption is that it would be rather simple, but the standard GCSEs limited number of exam windows makes it more complicated. However, there are a few different options that students might want to explore about.

The GCSE maths exams are always paper-based and are given at scheduled times, generally in May/June and November. There are three separate papers that must be finished in these, which must be taken at an approved testing location close to you. Therefore, you will need to set time aside to take the exam on 3 dates at certain times. There is no flexibility because everyone in the country takes their GCSE exams at the same time, so students will have to adjust. As a result, many people start considering other possible options for obtaining the qualifications required to move onwards. Learners tend to favour the functional skills level 2 certifications as one of these options. It has several advantages and can be taken all year long whenever a learner is prepared. Not to mention that it is Ofqual-regulated, so using these to apply for apprenticeships and to enrol in particular University courses shouldn’t present any problems. As a GCSE grade C equivalent, it may also be helpful on applications and resumes. The functional skills exams are the quickest option to earn a GCSE in maths because the results come back within a few days while the traditional paper-based GCSE exams are often available in around 6 weeks. The GCSE equivalency tests are a different option that some people consider, but they are typically not as commonly recognised by Universities and businesses.
